About Us
The Ventura County Dojo is located in the city of Moorpark, Ventura County, CA.

This is a Japanese based Martial Art. We are of the Bujinkan Dojo Family under the direction of Shihan Kyle Hayes who in turn takes his direction from Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan who is the Soke (Head of the Family) or “Grandmaster” of the International Bujinkan Dojo.

Also know that the head of this school has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. God will be mentioned in class. The Holy Spirit will be given credit for much of what he has learned and he will pray before and after class. Scripture will be integrated as part of the curriculum and there will be some memory verses to learn at each rank to be promoted. You do not have to be Christian to train with us but know that God watches over this dojo.

We train in the study of nine different historical schools or lineages. They are:

  • Togakure Ryu Ninpo
  • Gyokushin Ryu Ninpo
  • Kumogakure Ryu Ninpo
  • Gikan Ryu Koppojutsu
  • Koto Ryu Koppo Taijutsu
  • Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu
  • Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu
  • Shinden Fudo Ryu Dakentaijutsu
  • Kuki Shinden Ryu Happo Hikenjutsu

From these nine schools will be the 17 areas of study that you will find on the curriculum page.
